Characters currently played at Sanctum, if any:

Character Information:
Name: Please note that character's names should be listed in the manner that is appropriate for their culture.
Canon: Where does the character come from? Please specify media, for series that span several, since a comic version and a movie version of a character might be quite different, for example.
Canon point:
Age: Remember that any characters under the age of 18 will be aged up. Please refer here for further details.

Appearance: Pictures or a description will work here.
Background: A good wiki link will work, if you’d rather not write out an entire background!
Post-Canon History: For characters from completed canons using the option to age-up in canon world rather than while in transit, please explain your headcanon for what the character was doing before their arrival in game at age eighteen. If this does not apply to your character you may simply put n/a!

Previous Game History: Please give an overview of what happened to the character, how long ICly (and OOCly if time runs differently) they were in the game, and what character development happened. Be sure to give a good idea of how the game changed the character's personality and motivations. If this does not apply to your character you may simply put n/a!

Personality: This is the section not to skimp on! We want to know how your character thinks, acts, talks, dresses, moves... as much as you can think of about what makes up who they are. Please take your time and think about both the character’s motivations and their outward selves. Be sure to include character strengths and weaknesses here, as well.

Sexuality: This isn’t a space for a one-word answer. What we want to see is how you view your character sexually overall. Not just what gender or physical sex they are attracted to, but how much sexual experience they have, what their cultural ideas about sex are, what negative or positive attachments to it they might have.

Skills and Powers: This is the place for any particular skills and powers the characters have! Be sure to elaborate on things useful in everyday life as well as combat or supernatural powers.

If your character has a dimension-hopping power, please be aware that it will be disabled. Any other teleportation powers will remain intact, except if the character is in police custody or similar plot reason. For characters who are canonly deities or extremely powerful, please be prepared to have them scaled them down if it becomes ICly necessary to avoid ‘breaking the game.’ Any power-scaling you would like to do voluntarily, list here!

For characters without canon superhuman powers, there will be points within the game where they can gain powers, ICly, after they are in play.

Items: What is your character coming into the game with? What do they keep in their pockets? Is there anything of sentimental value that they keep on their person at all times. What is important to them? This is also where you would note if you plan to have a pet or animal companion accompany your character.

Writing samples: All samples do need to be set within Sanctum’s game setting, and give a good idea of how you will play your character in-game!

Action: The easiest way to do this would probably be a post to the network, either written to be soon after your character’s arrival in Sanctum, or after they’ve been around for a while. If you want to write something else in action style - perhaps your character exploring some part of the world - feel free to do so. Please bear in mind that, while network posts can be quite short, this is meant to demonstrate your handle on the character’s “voice” and as such should be long enough to show that. Mannerisms, tone, and the type of broadcast being presented are also things that should be included. Even if it is simply your character speaking we would like at least some actual action showing their tone while doing so.

Third Person Prose: For this sample, feel free to use an NPC for minor interaction, if you like. However, be sure the focus is on your character and their thoughts and actions. Feel
free to be creative within the game environment, whether it’s your character’s first reaction or something that might happen after they’ve been around for a while. Length isn’t as important as quality, but please give at least a couple of solid paragraphs.

In the Rift sample: For underage characters, only, we would like a short sample, in any form you like, of the character thinking and reacting to experiences shared with them during the time between entering the dimensional rift and appearing in Sanctum. As a guideline, the experiences shouldn’t be anything horribly traumatic or shocking to them, and should be at least roughly appropriate to their canon time period or setting.

For example, one could write them experiencing, through another person, a regular day of high school, or the first day of a part-time job or apprenticeship, things that are typically seen as part of ‘growing up’.

Plans: This is where you tell us about the themes that you would like to explore and what you're interested in trying out with your character. This is especially important if you are playing a villain or a character whose canon actions go against the theme of the game. Give us an idea how you intend to play them within the confines of the game rules without sacrificing canon characterization.
